Rockies Steal Rare Series-Opener Against LA

The Rockies took game 1 of the two-game set last night, 3-0 at Coors Field.

Jhoulys Chacin went seven strong innings, giving up only 5 hits, while the Rockies offense put up three runs on six hits.

Both Chris Iannetta and Troy Tulowitzki hit home runs. Tulo's was his first homer of the year, and his first hit of 2011.

The Rockies finish up the opening homestand today at 1:10 pm at Coors Field. Jason Hammel takes the hill for the first time this season, while Chad Billingsley opposes him.
